What type of land is suitable for a mobile home?
On a campsite. This will be the case if you buy a new mobile home and install it on one of the pitches available at our partner campsite:

On a residential leisure park. Opt for a new or second-hand mobile home on clearance and install it in the residential leisure park of your choice.
On private land. Before installing a mobile home on your property, check the legislation in force and contact your local council to find out about the necessary procedures and permits. Certain regulations prohibit the installation of a mobile home on private land without planning permission, but exceptions may be granted by the local council, particularly when a house is being built or work is being carried out. What is the minimum surface area required for the mobile home plot?
Wedging, or how to install a mobile home on a plot of land?
- Prepare the area: Make sure the ground is level and solid enough to accommodate the mobile home.
- Position the jacks: Position the jacks at the points recommended by the mobile home manufacturer. These are usually at the corners of the mobile home.
- Raise the mobile home: Using a hydraulic jack or ram, gently lift the mobile home until it is slightly above the ground.
- Insert shims: Insert strong, durable shims under the jacks to support the weight of the mobile home. Add or remove shims until you achieve optimum stability.
- Lower the mobile home: Gently lower the mobile home onto the wedges by releasing the jacks.
- Check stability: Make sure the mobile home is correctly wedged by carefully testing it. If necessary, adjust the wedges to achieve a stable position.
